Clay is a natural product

Despite all the care taken during production, clay remains a natural product that is subject to a wide range of variation in terms of structure and mineral composition. Different batches of the same type of clay can therefore exhibit different shrinkage behavior, which can result in an incalculable difference in size after the last firing. For this reason, it can happen that there is a difference in size between the ceramic insert and the Surefeed automatic feedersthere is a small amount of play. This can be remedied with a little trick: simply attach the enclosed silicone tape directly approx. 1 cm below the rear long side of the recess intended for the food bowl. This allows gaps of up to 7 mm to be filled. The flexible silicone adhesive tape is water-repellent and therefore easy to clean. The adhesive strip can be easily replaced if it becomes detached. It is safe for pets to use as the adhesive insert disappears completely under the edge of the ceramic bowl and is therefore inaccessible.
