Matabi is a climbing plant that is also known as «Japanese catnip». Matabi for cats is «all the rage» and no cat household should be without it. Matabi has an extremely positive effect on cats. The climbing plant is at home in the Japanese, Chinese, Korean and East Siberian mountains, where it can grow up to 6 meters high.
The branches of the matabi plant have been used as cat toys in Asia since time immemorial. The furries are almost crazy about this plant. The effect is comparable to the euphoric effect of catnip, only much, much stronger. Even cats that don't like catnip or valerian can react positively to matabi.
